On December 3, Timur Weinstein, General Producer of NTV Channel, Russia, has added the Lifetime Achievement Award to his substantial portfolio of TV Industry honors. The award is part of Content Innovation Awards 2020. This achievement recognizes Mr. Weinstein’s significant contribution to the international television industry. Under his leadership, NTV Russia has become the most innovative action drama and entertainment formats powerhouse, with premieres and shows often scoring 20%+ viewing share and claiming the #1position in primetime series slot.
Timur Weinstein is a unique figure in the Russian media business. He is the only Russian producer who sold his businesses to Sony Pictures Television International and Endemol Shine Group. In 2015, he took the reins at NTV and implemented a total transformation of the channel. He launched a brand new series lineup, initiated top formats adaptations, and produced primetime mega-hits . Few examples include «Beyond Death» (viewing share 17.7%), «The Road to Calvary» (streamed on Netflix in 2019–2020 ), and «SuperYou!» — great, socially meaningful show for children without parents.
