Balanced programming and amazing shows and series created a huge buzz for NTV in 2023, resulting in significant increase in viewing share from 9.2% to 9.5% compared to 2022 for adult audience 18+. Most importantly, the channel solidified its leadership position over Channel One, remaining a close contender for #1 spot and claiming a total of 10.2% of TV viewing in Russia (audience 0+). The increase came mostly from the 14–44 segment, which jumped 4% among male 14–44 and 3% among female 14–39 audiences living in big cities. Daytime and early primetime viewing rose 15 and 19% respectively.
NTV’s top shows are the key drivers for the channel’s success. «The Masked Singer’s» creative adaptation is an enormous success and it continues its reign over any other entertainment program on Russian TV. Its average share is 15,2% and the final episode’s viewing skyrocketed to 36,7% in Season 4! This is unprecedented. None other entertainment program has done that for the past 10 years.
Yet, for NTV this is normal. Its othermega-successful original project «SuperStar» claimed 15,3% share and «SuperYou!» — voice and dance competition for children without parents — got 11%. The creativity and originality that NTV team injects into these programs give audience an amazing entertaining experience, making viewers come back for more each season.

The premieres grabbed 11% of the primetime audience, while the franchises claimed even more, 11.2%. Five NTV projects were named among the top 10 most viewed series in 2023. Among the best premieres were «Extreme Medic» and sequels of already famous «Nevsky» (S6), «Team One» (S3) and «Fetch!» (S2). It’s worth noting that «Nevsky» remained #1 TV show for three weeks in a row, leaving behind all the competitors.
