EFM 2022 takes place under the umbrella of the 72th Berlin International Film Festival, kickstarting the European TV market season. This year, the forum will unite about 10,000 people representing international film and TV industry.
NTV’s virtual booth at EFM 2021 will showcase five TV series: action packed ‘Hitman’s Curse’ starring Aleksandr Ustyugov, ‘Fatherland’ drama based on Alexander Terekhov’s best seller, season 2 of ‘Beyond Death’, a supernatural thriller featuring Svetlana Khodchenkova and Sergey Garmash, crimedy show ‘Extreme Team’ and period crime series ‘Noble Detective’ featuring Russian Sherlock Holmes, Nikolay Bezsonov, that recently aired on AXN Mystery channel (Japan) to a resounding success.
Along with otherRussian-made projects, ‘Fatherland’ will feature in the TV series showcase to be presented by Roskino. It won’t be the first time the action packed drama appears in Berlin. Last year, it was included in the official Berlin TV Series Festival and Serial Killer Festival programs. It also featured in the TV Beats section of Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and in the special program of the 43th Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF) ‘Episode One. Take Two.’ Right after the MIFF showing, the series premiered online on the KION digital platform.
At EFM 2022 NTV will also present ‘Hitman’s Curse’, anaction-packed drama. Ivan, former detective and now ex-con seeks revenge for the death of his partner and for the injustice that put him in jail many years ago. A beautiful and mysterious woman offers him to become a murder-for-hire , and kill his nemesis. Ivan can’t resist the temptation. This murder puts him in a league of assassins that he’s desperately trying to escape.
The international audience will also get a first chance to watch NTV’saction-packed crime show ‘Extreme Team’. The show is centered on a seasoned cop who used to work alone and rely only on himself. Suddenly he gets saddled with two partners: a general’s son and a girl fresh out of police school suffering from the straight-A student syndrome. Now our hero has to not only fight crime in his city, but also rescue his hapless «partners» from their endless misfortunes.
