In 2020, the Azerbaijani ARB TV channel acquired the rights to NTV’s original format Secret for a Million. The first episode aired at the end of September under the title «Onun sirri» (His/Her Secret).
In the Azerbaijani version, the opportunity to learn the celebrities’ main secrets is given to the TV presenter Latafat Alekperova. Her own life experience, full of dramas, will add sincerity and empathy to the celebrities’ life stories. As in the original project, the guests will get cash prizes for correct and honest answers during the program. And at the culmination of each episode, of course, there will be the main question — will the envelope with million-worth question be burned or the shocking secret of the guest will come out?
For over 8 seasons NTV’s Secret for a Million has been scoringrock-solid top ratings — 10.7–12 .3% — often leaving other channels’ Sunday primetime entertainment programs behind. This is a show that has changed how we see celebrities. Beautifully executed, with a top celebrity host, Secret for a Million continues to gain popularity season after season, scoring 2.7–3 .3 TVR, with millions of viewers glued to their screens every Sunday. Its online views reached over 200 million.
